В течение последних тридцати лет на основе диагностической ангиографии возникла одна из самых бурно развивающихся отраслей современной малоинвазивной медицины - эндоваскулярная хирургия. Чрескожная транслюминальная ангиопластика, предложенная Ч. Т. Доттером, стала началом новой эры в лечении атеросклеротического поражения артерий и основой для дальнейшего развития чрескожных интервенций в различных областях медицины. В статье изложены основные исторические вехи развития интервенционной кардиологии в мире и Республике Беларусь, определены спорные вопросы для дальнейшего исследования и научной дискуссии.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The development of physiology, radiology and surgery in the twentieth century was largely possible due to the use of invasive diagnostic methods. Over the past thirty years one of the most rapidly developing branches of modern minimally invasive medicine - endovascular surgery - has emerged on the basis of diagnostic angiography. Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty, proposed by C. T. Dotter, marked the beginning of a new era in the treatment of atherosclerotic artery disease and has become the basis for further development of percutaneous interventions in different areas of medicine.
